Winter Magic Samoyeds & Bedlingtons  

Winter Magic Samoyeds began in 1991 when we first met with Carrie Parma-Collier of White Magic Samoyeds.  Since I had been in dogs my whole life (Top Giant Schnauzer Junior Handler 1977), I knew exactly what we needed to start our life with Samoyeds.  Thus as a wedding present, Ralph and I purchased Ch. White Magic's Winter Legend and the obsession began.

Most people know that samoyeds are a lot like potato chips "you can't stop at just one," so within a year we added our foundation bitch White Magic's Winter Ice and the Winter Magic line commenced.

Isis only produced two litters, but her puppies truly left a mark on the present day Samoyed line.  Her first litter produced a number of champions including a Samoyed Club of America Award of Merit Winner 1997 Ch. Winter Magic's Northern Light, but it was her second litter, a single puppy, that has truly shaped the breed today.  This puppy, ROM BISS Ch. White Magic's Shanticlaire O' WM, can be found in many pedigrees of today's top show samoyeds.  Thus, Isis truly put Winter Magic on the map, and her descendents continue to produce specialty winning and healthy samoyeds for show and companionship.

Today, Winter Magic Samoyeds continues with new generations of samoyeds and even a second generation breeder/handler, 11 year old Morgan Miller.  Our philosophy is to produce sound, typey Samoyeds that epitomize what the Samoyed was bred to do.  We participate in conformation and junior showmanship, therapy work, dog sledding, and pack hiking.  Many of our Samoyeds have gone on to earn  championships, win specialities, work in agility, therapy and obedience, all in addition to being family companions. 

All of our puppies are raised in a home environment and are, from day one, a member of the family.  We carefully screen all our homes, for Samoyeds must be part of the family.
